Terjadi perdebatan antara Mahfud MD dan politisi asal PDI Perjuangan Arteria Dahlan saat sidang dengar pendapat di gedung DPR RI pada Rabu, 29 Maret 2023.
Anggota Komisi III DPR Fraksi PDIP Arteria Dahlan menyatakan kesiapannya untuk mundur dari sebagai anggota DPR apabila pimpinannya memintanya untuk berhenti.
Pernyataan ini merupakan buntut dari komentar Menko Polhukam, Mahfud MD, terkait Kepala BIN, Budi Gunawan. Menurut Arteria, ucapan Mahfud yang menyerang Kepala BIN dapat merusak harapan anak bangsa yang memiliki cita-cita.
Sebelumnya, pernyataan Mahfud itu dipicu karena Arteria menuding Mahfud MD membocorkan dokumen berisi transaksi janggal sebesar Rp 349 triliun dan mengancam akan melaporkan Mahfud.
Akibatnya, Mahfud menantang Arteria untuk menanyakan hal serupa kepada Budi Gunawan. Pasalnya, meskipun Budi merupakan bawahan langsung Presiden Jokowi dan bukan bawahan Menko Polhukam, ia rutin memberikan laporan resminya kepada Mahfud.
Profil Arteria Dahlan
Arteria Dahlan adalah seorang politisi Indonesia yang saat ini menjabat sebagai Anggota Dewan Perwakilan Rakyat (DPR) Fraksi PDI Perjuangan periode 2019-2024. Lahir di Jakarta pada 7 Juli 1975, menurut dpr.go.id, Arteria sempat menimba ilmu di Universitas Trisakti jurusan Teknik Elektro dan lulus pada tahun 1999.
Di saat yang bersamaan, ia juga mengikuti program kekhususan pendidikan Hukum Ekonomi di Universitas Indonesia. Kemudian Arteria melanjutkan pendidikan S2 ke program studi Ilmu Hukum Ketatanegaraan Universitas Indonesia pada tahun 2012 hingga 2014.
Sebelum terjun ke dunia politik, Arteria Dahlan berkarier sebagai pengacara dan sempat mendirikan badan hukum sendiri. Ia kemudian memutuskan untuk masuk sebagai anggota DPR RI.
Pada Pemilu 2014, Arteria maju sebagai calon legislatif dan berhasil terpilih sebagai anggota DPR RI dari Daerah Pemilihan (Dapil) Jawa Timur VI yang meliputi Kabupaten Tulungagung, Kediri, dan Blitar.
Pada periode keduanya di DPR RI, Arteria menjadi Anggota Komisi III yang membidangi masalah Hukum, HAM, dan Keamanan. Ia juga pernah menjabat sebagai Wakil Ketua Komisi III DPR RI.
Arteria merupakan anggota DPR yang aktif dalam mengawal dan mengkritisi kinerja aparat penegak hukum, terutama terkait kasus korupsi.
Selain aktif di bidang politik, Arteria Dahlan juga terlibat dalam berbagai organisasi kemasyarakatan. Ia pernah menjabat sebagai Wakil Sekretaris Jenderal DPP Serikat Pengacara Indonesia dan Deputi Bidang Hukum Badan Penelitian dan Pengembangan Pusat (BalitbangPus) DPP PDI Perjuangan.
Arteria Dahlan dikenal sebagai sosok yang kritis dan berani dalam menyuarakan pendapatnya. Beberapa isu yang pernah diangkat oleh Arteria meliputi kasus korupsi, penegakan hukum, dan kebijakan publik.
Namun tak jarang pula Arteria diperbincangkan publik karena beberapa pendapat dan ucapannya yang kontroversial. Sebut saja, soal ucapannya yang dianggap menyinggung etnis Sunda. Bahkan Arteria pernah mendapat ancaman bom di rumahnya.
